Have you read RENEGADE?

The wait is finally over. My latest novel Renegade is LIVE now and is available for purchase on Amazon.

I really need your help, friends. I have put a lot of effort in making this book a perfect piece. A book which my readers would love to read. And I hope you will help me.

Its because of your help and support, I’m able to take up my passion for writing to the next level. Else, I would have been writing just for myself.

So, today, I’m telling you how the journey of Renegade started.

I started this novel as a mini-series on my blog. Where I was posting one episode each Thursday.

I never thought that the weekly episode which I posted just for my self-satisfaction would become quite popular among my friends and family members.

People started liking it. They waited for the weekly episodes of “Don’t Break My Heart” (Renegade’s earlier name). So much love and appreciation for the words I wrote just for fun. I was happy.

This boosted my confidence, and I decided that I would pen down a novel on the same storyline.

And then I began the journey.

It took me a complete one year and a couple more months to bring this book to you. Many sleepless nights when I was just writing, writing, and writing. When I was not cooking the dinners and my family was relying on Domino’s pizzas and outdoor meals. When my seven-year-old son watched me work late in front of my computer as he drifted to sleep.

Writing is indeed a hard work and a lonely job. I had null social life for the past one year. My main aim was to make this book perfect. And I think I had achieved what I wanted. Renegade is my best work till date. And if we go by the famous saying that the author’s best work is always their next book, perhaps, my next book would be better and superior than this one. But for now, its only Renegade.

If you have read my series “Don’t Break My Heart” on my blog, you will easily relate with the characters of Renegade as most of the characters are just the same.

Though the story and characters are same, there’s much more romance in Renegade with some very interesting twists and turns throughout the story. And, I’m sure it’s going to be a treat for a true romance lover.

Besides this, the Renegade novel comes along with a caboodle of gifts. With each purchase of Renegade, you will get a pair of 3-piece pendant feather drop earring of your choice plus a bundle of all my previously published ebooks.

Not just that for each one of you who purchases Renegade and posts a review (good or bad) on Book’s Amazon page will get a chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card. That is approximately 1700 Indian Rupees. Enough to buy some fancy accessories to complement your dress during the festive season.

I think this gives you all reasons to go ahead and buy your copy of Renegade. Your one purchase can make a huge difference.

You can start reading Renegade right here, just click on the Preview below and you can see what is inside before you decide to buy.

Enjoy!

Romantic Short Stories: Life Is Not a Fairy Tale

Hello Friends,

It’s Monday, and I’m here with yet another steaming shot of short love stories. Hope you’ll like it.

Title : Life is Not a Fairy Tale

Life was no less than a fairy tale for Meera up until her wedding. Her dreams shattered as she welcomed the bitter and the most traumatic truth of her life.

She still recalled how adamant she was to get married to Aryan, her friend’s elder brother. Unknown that their marriage was going to be the biggest disaster for her.

She couldn’t see the monster hidden underneath the pretty package. It was so easy for her to fall in love with tall and handsome Aryan, the owner of penetrating green eyes.

It had been three years now. Three years of her transformation from a careless impulsive rich spoilt brat to a diligent and responsible woman.

“Got to go now, Aryan will be home anytime.” Meera rose to her feet and stormed out of the glass door of Ella’s Beauty Salon.

“Wait up. Care to remove the curlers.” Ella shouted as she saw hurried Meera marching towards her car.

Ella was Meera’s friend and a beauty therapist. Meera met Ella when Aryan relocated from Hicksville to Sapphire Heights three years ago.

The relocation was initially for business purposes but later Aryan fell in love with the calm and serene Sapphire Heights, making the place their home.

Meera had no choice but to accept whatever Aryan imposed on her.

Driving back home in her luxurious Limo, Meera received Aryan’s text.

Meet me at sunset point.

“Sunset point, now…why?” Confused, she mumbled under her breath.

“We’re going to Sunset Point, Tim.” She told the driver as she removed the curlers from her hair, barely disturbing the tendrils of her long brown hair.

And the next moment, the black Limo raced up toward the northern end of the town.

Sunset Point was a spot located at a peaking height. Known as lover’s spot, Sunset Point was famous for giving a bird’s eye view of the entire town of Sapphire Heights.

Why he wants to meet me at Sunset Point, when there’s nothing romantic has left between us. The way he has treated me over the past three years, it’s ridiculous to meeting at a lover’s paradise.

Meera could see Aryan’s dominant silhouette in the evening sun. He was standing with his face towards the setting sun.

Meera walked towards him with slow baby steps. There was a soothing calm all around. The chirping birds played a love serenade. She could recall how she fell in love with Aryan.

She met Aryan on her friends’ Naina’s birthday and instantly fell in love with her best friend’s elder brother.

She never knew how dangerous it would be falling for a disciplined army man. Her life turned upside down when she married Aryan after a short courtship of two months.

She never expected Aryan would act like a ringmaster for her wife. She had to be on her toes all the time. Her waking, sleeping, lunch, dinner times were all set by Aryan.

“Hi,” a slow whisper escaped her lips as she neared him.

He turned around, a halo of sunlight kissing his evenly set honey-brown hair.

“Happy birthday, my wife.” He came close and held a blue velvet box to her.

“Birthday? Aw, shucks, I forgot it…”

“But, I remember.” He leaned closer and took out the diamond pendant from the box. “Shine like this always.”

She couldn’t work out how the dictator had transformed into a passionate lover overnight.

“What’s wrong? I mean why are you doing all this.”

“I’m sorry, precious, for being so rude to you all the time. I hope you’ll forgive me.”

“What?” Her eyes narrowed.

“I know it’s overwhelming but I got to tell you this?” He looked in her eyes, sliding the necklace around her sculpted neck.

The touch of his fingers on the nape of her neck gave her goosebumps. She couldn’t resist but to look inside those green striking eyes.

“I wanted you to be a woman you are now. Smart, confident, disciplined, and strong.”

“And how can you say I’m the one…”

“See this…” Aryan handed Meera the offer letter from one of the biggest publishing houses in the States.

“I always wanted you to achieve your dreams. You were good at writing and I wanted you to follow your dreams. Something that’s not possible if you don’t bring a change about yourself.”

“But you never told me that you want me to write….”

“Some things are left unsaid.” Aryan kissed Meera’s long artistic fingers as the sun hid behind the clouds.

A Peace Which Crowned Her Life

“She had looked for his coming as warriors come,
With the clash of arms and the bugle’s call;
But he came instead with a stealthy tread,
Which she did not hear at all.

She had thought how his armor would blaze in the sun,
As he rode like a prince to claim his bride:
In the sweet dim light of the falling night
She found him at her side.

She had dreamed how the gaze of his strange, bold eye
Would wake her heart to a sudden glow:
She found in his face the familiar grace
Of a friend she used to know.

She had dreamed how his coming would stir her soul,
As the ocean is stirred by the wild storm’s strife:
He brought her the balm of a heavenly calm,
And a peace which crowned her life.” – Ella Wheeler Wilcox

Love has been the most favorite topic of poets and artists for centuries. A lot has been written and depicted about love in the form of romantic poems, novels, and various art forms from paintings to sculptures and from buildings to monuments.

Even today, when technology has changed the world and spread its feet in all spheres of life, love is intangible and innocent. Love is a feeling, an action, a connection that is free of social and cultural boundaries.

People love to read about love and romance. This reason is just enough to explain the popularity and demand of some of the great classic love stories from Wuthering heights to Casablanca.

Though a lot has been written about love time to time, I personally feel that there is very less reading available for those who want to explore the intricacies of modern-age romance.

Modern-age love stories set in the background of different cities, internationally, are rare to find. Book “Still the Love Blooms” allows the readers to slowly unfold the petals of blooming love in different parts of the world, from the most developed and enriched nations to the most poor and war-stricken developing countries of the world.
